Natural Laundry Detergent - EcoFriendly Sensitive skin safe

  • Details
Artisan made laundry powder is an excellent stain remover and does not mess around! You cannot abuse or overuse this washing powder like you would other synthetic laundry goop. Even "natural" laundry goop has water and sls as its first ingredients. I don't mind these ingredients in general but when a product is made in that order, chances are the cleaning abilities won't be up to par with the price you pay!

If you are new to natural handmade laundry powder it is very important that you get familiar with it and use small amounts and gradually work your way up so that you understand how it works with your clothes.

You'll be surprised how many people don't know how to do laundry! We inadvertently leave it up to corporations to miseducate us so we can use harmful detergents and chemicals. This allows us to wash clothes together or lazily. If you're ok with that then this isn't a product for you.

When using this laundry powder it is important to separate your whites from darks and colors. I say this because each load takes a different amount of powder. Lets say you have a small load of bright colors and you use more than you're supposed to. Don't be surprised to find your colors have dulled! That's why it's important to use this as directed because it is squeaky clean! With a small colored load, 1 oz or two tablespoons is more than enough to get them clean!

My husband washes his clothes all at once which i cant stand! He works hard and plays hard so his clothes are always so DIRTY. With a large load of his dirty jeans, all i need is a 1/4c or 2oz. To remove stains i pretreat the clothes prior to washing. I make a thick paste with water and thinly layer it on the stain. This will not dull out bright colors because its being used ACCORDINGLY.

Connor is 3 and i wash his clothes all at once. White, bright dark whatever. It brightens my colors and doesn't dull my darks. I use 1-2 tablespoons depending on how dirty they are or how big the load is.

Sensitive clothes and silks shouldn't be washed in the washing machine. Hand-wash delicates with a gallon of water or sink filled, mix in about 1.5 tablespoons. Depending on stains or amount of delicates and how long you'll let it soak, depends how much powder you use. A regular hand-wash to refresh delicates takes less then a tablespoon of this powder. Let them soak in the water, rub a bit and soak more as needed.

I keep my powder in an old "Finish" container i had dishwashing tabs in. I keep them handy for when i refill make laundry powder!

What makes this washing powder different then the others? Besides love and care? For one it's taken me almost 5 years to create this meticulous recipe for the exact ratios needed. I use more than basic washing soda and borax in my powder wash. I make the soap and hand grate it once its cured. The soap is pure coconut oil and NOTHING more! I add a touch of color for a pop and interest. This also contains berries! Yes you heard right. Nature makes a soap berry! I source mine from the Himalayas. These soap berries aren't cheap and they are a lovely addition to this recipe. Research them on your own and grab some to compliment your laundry!

**Safe for all Machines even HE

    **Purifies and softens hard water

**Use laundry scent boosters together with your loads if you must have that fresh scent wash! I'll be coming out soon with this same product but with added fresh fragrances for those peeps who MUST have clean linen smells!

**Safe for cloth diapers, soiled clothes and sensitive baby skin.

**To soften water more add a 1/4cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle. Don't worry your laundry will NEVER smell like vinegar!

**Tired of laundry sheets for the static it never gets rid of!?! Use a big ball of aluminum foil. Throw it in and leave it in your dryer and use it up to six times. It will shrink to a tiny tiny golf ball size and that's when you know to get rid of it. Maybe you have a giant roll of aluminum foil that you bought for a really good deal! (Yes this happened to me hahaha) BUT you regret it because it's so cheap you can barely take it out of the container without shredding it. Well keep it handy in the laundry room and ball some up and toss it in the dryer. No wool. No harm to the environment or animals and static problem solved forever. Goodbye harmful static dryer sheets and goodbye wool from those poor sheep! Foil is cheaper too! But wait you love the smell... again use scent boosters or wait until i release the new fragrant powders. If you like liquid powder look online and find the ratios for turning this powder into a goop. It won't create as many bubbles as you are used to but don't let that fool you. It is still concentrated and very powerful and will clean.

**Try not to inhale if its in a large cloud. Don't handle with bare hands. Use gloves when pretreating stains or hand washing.

**Contact me with any questions regarding the usage of this product. I tried to cover all issues in this description but I will happily accommodate you or any concerns you may have.

**Choose from 3 different sizes. Small to try, medium for a single person or a big container for commitment to a natural more simple living. Contact me for gallons and buckets filled.

***PLEASE CHOOSE SHIP UPGRADE WHEN BUYING THE 43 OUNCE CONTAINER. IF YOU DO NOT I WILL CONTACT YOU FOR THE DIFFERENCE OR REFUND YOUR MONEY. IT SHOULD CHARGE YOU A TOTAL OF $8.50 plus $1.50 for any additional item. This is necessary in order to send it safely via priority mail USPS within two or three days.

    Why Lye?

(Sodium Hydroxide) Lye is a caustic soda and very dangerous. When I first read about it, I too wondered how chemistry did it's thing. In a nut shell, there is no soap without lye. You'd basically be washing your hands with oils. ALL soap has lye. When the oils are saponified properly and carefully with the lye, sodium molecules pair with oil molecules and soap is born! Of course, there is much more to it then that. But in laymen, that is why we lye!

    Why hand crafted soap?

We are 100% Eco-friendly. Our soap is made the traditional, cold-processed way. They are cured for 2 months & our Castile is cured for 9-12 months before they go on sale to ensure the best product possible. Your skin is the largest organ on your body. If you can't eat it, don't wear it! If you are looking to rid your home of "casual toxins", this is a good place to start. A bar of soap only looks smaller than that bottle of body wash, but there are many aspects to consider. Quality & thoughtfulness of ingredients for one is above all. Secondly, that bottle contains about the same amount, if not less, compared to soap. If taken care of properly, your soap will outlast the plastic bottled store bought stuff.

    Are all your products Vegan?

Are your products safe for allergies?

Most products are gluten-free and wheat free. When it comes to Almonds, Coconuts, Soy allergies etc, & you are highly allergic, even if a product doesn't contain what your allergic to, I wouldn't risk it and would consult my health care professional for advise.

We clean & sterilize all of our equipment. All our materials and oils are labeled and stored properly. We are not responsible for any allergies caused as it is your responsibility as a consumer to understand ingredient labels & risk assessed.

We don't use wheat based products, or Almond oil casually.

Do your products contain GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms)?

Everything we sell is proudly NON-GMO & made with 100% natural and/or organic ingredients. Although our company is yet to be certified organic, it is in our list of long-term goals.

A certification for being organic is what it sounds like. A certification. You pay to apply to get your company a certificate that is approved by state and federal laws that assures you go through all the loops to maintain the certificate that says you are using organic ingredients and practices.

Although a vendor or ingredient is NOT CERTIFIED Organic, it can just mean the certification is too expensive and they can still use Organic practices without technically becoming certified. We maintain close relationships to vendors who practice Organic processes.

    Are your baby soaps tear-free?

Unfortunately, no matter how gentle, it is not possible to make a soap 100% tear-free without chemicals. Sounds weird right? That's what I think! A soap can be gentle, but if a large amount of soap, for whatever reason, gets into babies eyes, just rinse out with cool water.

If A LOT of soap is INGESTED, do not induce vomiting. Drink plenty of water & call your health professional or urgent care center just in case. My baby has gotten into a few soaps and hes always fine!

Now, if we are talking EATING & SWALLOWING MOUTHFULS then yes, I would go to the emergency room. Never induce vomiting unless directed by a professional or product advise.

Handling baby soaps regularly will not cause discomfort if a small amount gets around eyes.

What do I do with the herbs/candies/glitter/mica/toppings on my soap?

All glitter used is 100% plant based making them ocean & mermaid friendly! These are only toppings for interest & decorative reasons to usually match a theme in the bath treat. If the glitter or mica bother you on the soap, wash or wipe it away. It won't stick to skin after shower or bath.

Sometimes soap may contain toppings that can cause discomfort, like orange peel corners, ouch! I don't use these such sharp toppings. Herbs & flowers may discolor soap but it does not negatively affect it. smells great & releases their essential properties!
